Facilities Maintenance Specialist (A4, 2nd Shift)

Summary

This position is responsible for the oversight, preventive maintenance and repair of associated facilities based equipment.

Tasks & Accountabilities

• Must be proficient in reading and comprehending electrical schematics and diagrams for troubleshooting electrical systems
• Utilize hand tools, electrical testing equipment including voltmeters, amp probes, meggers, and computers in the performance of daily duties
• Work with Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Graphical Display Units (GDU) applications
• Have working knowledge relating to Daisy-Chain Systems, Various job related PLCs, Radio Communication equipment, etc.

Skills & Qualifications

• Certificate in an Industrial Maintenance, Electrical or Automated Controls Specialty is required or an equivalent documented training
• Show knowledge of electrical power sources and their characteristics
• Show knowledge of electrical safety devices (such as switches, fuses, and breakers) and proper grounding techniques
• Show working knowledge of high speed doors, HVAC systems, boilers, high and low voltage systems, fire protection systems and hardware, control circuits, plumbing hardware, etc...

Physical / Personal Requirements

• Understand purpose of, and application to wear, Personal Protective Equipment (including arc flash protection gear), and follow rules and regulations related to a detailed lockout/tagout (LOTO) program
• Wear safety toe boots at all times
• Be able to climb stairs and ladders, frequently at times
• Be able to lift up to 70lbs regularly
• Be able to work in hot and cold environments to include inclement weather
• Be able to stand for long durations
• Supply a small pre-determined list of personal hand tools
