Facilities Maintenance Manager, Licensed Master Plumber

About the role

Directs heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and critical power maintenance and service operations. Oversees sustainability initiatives to meet Environmental Protection Agency compliance programs and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local HVACR industry laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate current and future projects, facility needs, and equipment to increase efficiency.
• Direct temperature adjustments, analyze systems and load requirements, and develop setback modes for energy reduction.
• Evaluate air flow, humidity needs, and ensure functioning of facility systems.
• Develop standard operating procedures and establish facility maintenance inspections and preventive maintenance programs.
• Drive execution of business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs, removing barriers, and providing resources.
• Oversee sustainability initiatives, review project schedules, resolve vendor/contractor issues, and provide technical training.
• Manage complex projects, including work assignment priority, workforce planning, supervision, and approval of materials and timecards.
• Direct regional field operations, develop goals, control maintenance costs, and monitor contractor performance.
• Ensure business needs are met by evaluating effectiveness of plans, consulting stakeholders, and improving efficiency.
• Develop and approve budgets, evaluate return on investment, and manage financial sustainability.
• Review budget plans, verify cost estimates, approve purchases, and provide technical assistance for procurement.
• Maintain project oversight, ensure timelines are met, manage costs, and coordinate changes.
• Manage department budget, validate spending, review invoices, and ensure landlord compliance with lease agreements.
• Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates, including hiring, training, and mentoring.
• Promote a culture of belonging, respect individual differences, and support continuous learning.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.

Requirements

• Licensed Master Plumber and 5 years’ experience in facilities management, construction management, electrical maintenance, engineering, or related area OR
• 3 years’ experience in the above areas with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• Master Plumber License or equivalent in the state you will be working.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in building controls or related area.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• External work experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in an optical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environment.
• Supervisory experience.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $99,000.00 - $198,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and stock for certain positions.
