Facilities Maintenance Manager, Licensed Master Plumber
About the role
Directs heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and critical power maintenance and service operations. Oversees execution of sustainability initiatives to meet Environmental Protection Agency compliance programs. Manages complex projects, regional field operations, and department budgets. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local industry laws and company policies. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates while fostering a culture of belonging and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate current and future facility projects, needs, and equipment to increase efficiency.
- Direct temperature adjustments, analyze systems and load requirements, and develop setback modes for energy reduction.
- Ensure functioning of facility systems, develop standard operating procedures, and establish maintenance inspections and preventive maintenance programs.
- Drive execution of business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs, removing barriers, and measuring progress.
- Oversee sustainability initiatives, review project schedules, resolve vendor/contractor issues, and provide technical training.
- Manage complex projects, including work assignments, workforce planning, inspections, and approval of materials and timecards.
- Direct regional field operations, develop goals, control maintenance costs, and monitor contractor performance.
- Evaluate effectiveness of plans and initiatives, consult with stakeholders, and support community outreach events.
- Develop and approve budgets, evaluate return on investment, and determine resource requirements.
- Review and verify cost estimates, approve purchases, and provide technical assistance for procurement.
- Maintain project oversight, ensure timelines are met, manage costs, and communicate schedules.
- Manage department budget, analyze spending trends, validate expenditures, and ensure landlord compliance.
- Ensure compliance with HVAC/R industry laws, regulations, and guidelines through reviews and inspections.
- Coordinate job-related activities, support business plans, and promote continuous learning.
- Provide supervision, mentorship, and development opportunities for associates.
- Foster a culture of respect, integrity, and excellence while serving customers and members.
Requirements
- Licensed Master Plumber and 5 years’ experience in facilities management, construction management, electrical maintenance, engineering, or related area OR
- 3 years’ experience in the above areas with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
- Master Plumber License or equivalent in the state of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in building controls or related areas.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams.
- External work experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in an optical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environment.
- Supervisory experience.

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and may include stock for certain positions.
