Position Overview
The Facilities & Maintenance Manager is responsible for the safe, reliable, compliant, and cost-effective operation of all buildings, grounds, infrastructure systems, and support services supporting the Manchester campus and associated off-site facilities.
Essential Responsibilities And Duties
- Manage all facility operations, infrastructure systems, grounds, and off-site warehouse support.
- Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, chilled water, fire protection, security, and building automation systems.
- Manage roof systems, parking lots, loading docks, overhead doors, elevators, potable water systems, and waste programs.
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs and asset lifecycle plans.
- Manage all facility service providers including landscaping, snow removal, janitorial, roofing, HVAC, security, and construction contractors.
- Develop scopes of work, bid packages, contracts, and performance metrics.
- Manage facility operating and capital budgets.
- Lead facility infrastructure and capital improvement projects.
- Support customer visits, audits, and executive events.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, building, fire, and safety regulations.
Safety Leadership & Compliance
- Serve as a visible leader and champion of Amcor's Highest Value of Safety.
- Serve as an active member of the Manchester Safety Committee.
- Serve as a trained First Responder and Emergency Response Team member.
- Lead facility-related risk assessments, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Ensure contractor compliance with all Amcor safety requirements and OSHA regulations.
- Support business continuity, severe weather response, and emergency preparedness programs.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Directly supervise the Facilities Maintenance Technician.
- Provide coaching, performance management, and development planning.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Industrial Technology, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 7+ years of facility management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of industrial facility systems and contractor management.
- Experience managing budgets and capital projects.
