About the role
Perform general building and maintenance duties on the 2nd shift (Monday through Friday, 4 pm - 12 am).
Responsibilities
- Installation and drywall repair
- Painting and carpentry
- Basic plumbing and electrical work/installation
- HVAC preventive maintenance and repairs, including filter changes
- Ceiling tile installation and maintenance
- Assembly of furniture and equipment
- Snow and ice removal
- Recognize and manage work priorities
- Identify and order needed parts using PCI ordering system
- Lead repairs from start to completion
- Identify improvement opportunities
- Paint, spackle, and repair walls at medium project level (e.g., entire production suite)
- Perform plumbing repairs and fixture replacements at medium project level
- Perform carpentry repairs at medium project level
- Assemble/disassemble and install furniture at medium project level
- Rigging abilities, including heavy equipment relocation at medium project level
- Perform preventive maintenance of air handlers
- Basic electrical troubleshooting
- Welding
- Basic locksmith abilities, including making keys
- Work directly with vendors on equipment troubleshooting, repairs, and projects
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems, chilled water systems, hot water systems, compressed air systems, clean air systems, and electrical power systems
- Basic troubleshooting of all facilities equipment/systems (power, faults, restarts)
- Repair facilities equipment with support from subject-matter experts (SMEs) or vendors for complex repairs
- Perform preventive maintenance with SMEs or vendors for complex PMs
- Understand Honeywell Station modules: HVAC, Fire, and Utilities
- Make temperature/humidity changes at the Supervisor Security Level
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED and/or 1-3 months related experience and/or training
- Basic mathematical and computer skills
- Minimum professional proficiency in communication (speaking, reading standard items)
- Intermediate reasoning: ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to follow instructions and respond to management direction
- Official/recognized technical education/training
- Basic electrical training for troubleshooting
- Rigging abilities for heavy equipment relocation at medium project level
- Basic understanding of HVAC, chilled water, hot water, compressed air, clean air, and electrical power systems
- Good understanding of facilities equipment (air handlers, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, air compressors, dehumidifiers, humidifiers, etc.)
- Good understanding of Honeywell Station modules (HVAC, Fire, and Utilities)
Schedule
2nd shift: Monday through Friday, 4 pm - 12 am
