Facilities Maintenance Generalist (1st or 2nd shift)

About the role

Associate will be responsible for general building and equipment maintenance water operator, as well as handling snow removal during the winter months, general repair and maintenance of all forklifts, motorized pallet jacks, company vehicles and other equipment owned by the company. General building repairs such as plumbing needs, facility lighting, painting and assisting with general cleanliness of the facility and grounds, as well as moving office equipment will be required. This associate is responsible for trash removal from the facility as well as the cleanliness and organization of the truck sheds, maintenance shops and bone yard. Some off-shift work will be scheduled. Other seasonal work and duties within the Maintenance Department may be assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

• Verifiable knowledge of hand and power tools
• Good mechanical ability with verifiable general knowledge of plumbing skills and general knowledge of electrical and lighting
• Ability to operate a forklift, bobcat, shag truck, lull and all other company vehicles and hold a clean driving history
• Physical ability to lift at least 40-50 lbs and stand throughout the majority of the shift
• Capability to work in all environmental conditions both inside and outside of the facility
• Overtime will be required
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, with good written skills
• Computer skills a plus
• Attention to detail and ability to work as a team member
• 6 month work history or participant of any industrial maintenance educational program
• Maintenance experience preferred
• Must reside in the United States (sponsorship not offered)
