Facilities Maintenance

Purpose

Maintain mechanical aspects of building, landscaping, fleet vehicles, and scheduling inspections. Help Facilities Specialist when needed with cleaning and supply tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mechanical aspects of building (checking power outages, changing lightbulbs, changing A/C filters, checking HVAC units, restroom fans); calling out for specialists when beyond capabilities (e.g., Electricians, HVAC)
• Maintain Landscaping (sprinklers, lawns, trimming hedges, weeding rocks, clearing debris, clear dumpster area)
• Clear snow in winter
• Maintain fleet vehicles
• Schedule building and irrigation inspections (Elevator, Fire Sprinkler System, Backflow Systems)
• Help Facilities Specialist when needed to clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, windows, restrooms, kitchens)
• Empty garbage and provide cleaning supplies to other employees when requested

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
• Self-Motivated
• Multi-tasking ability
• Ability to communicate with coworkers
