Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on complex manufacturing equipment (CNC machining centers, process ovens, electro-mechanical systems, etc.)
- Support installation, relocation, and modification projects for manufacturing equipment
- Use a CMMS to track maintenance and repairs of equipment and facility systems
- Assist in developing maintenance procedures and schedules
- Assemble, test, and commission electrical systems and equipment; follow projects through to completion
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (higher education a plus)
- Massachusetts Journeyman or Master Electrician license
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment
- Minimum 7 years’ experience with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and complex manufacturing equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical/electrical drawings, manuals, and reports
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Strong safety mindset, attention to detail, and excellent written/verbal communication
- Ability to follow direction and work independently in a fast-paced R&D startup environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, and TPM principles
- Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Physical Demands
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stoop, climb, type, stand, or sit for extended periods
- Willingness to work occasional nights, weekends, or on-call and to travel between Devens and Somerville as needed
- Comfort working around industrial hazards (heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead, high voltage, cryogenics) and dedication to safety protocols
Pay
$30-$48/hour (depends on level, location, qualifications, experience) + equity
