About the role
Perform a variety of electrical tasks to repair and maintain Park electrical systems and install new electrical systems and equipment using standard electrical methods. Maintain preventative maintenance logs on the appropriate equipment and systems.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot facilities to ensure their safe and efficient operation with minimum supervision.
- Repair and maintain a variety of electrical systems including replacement of wires, circuits, lighting, transformers, switches, etc. in facilities and outdoor areas using standard electrical and construction methods.
- Perform work on ozone generators, compressors, blowers, fans, pumps, motors, etc. as assigned.
- Inspect rides, facilities, and attractions, notifying appropriate management of any and all hazards that may endanger Guests or Employees.
- Install new electrical systems as assigned; determine materials to be used and placement of electrical panels, switches, outlets, fixtures, etc. and install systems per work order specifications.
- Follow state, local, and Park regulations for installations and maintenance of electrical systems.
- Work in conjunction with others to solve ride-related problems.
- Maintain all daily repair logs and journals current and accurate of maintenance performed.
- Perform all other duties as required.
Requirements
- 2 years of related experience.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Must be able to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to troubleshoot clearly, calmly, and safely in the presence of Guests, co-workers, and park management in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have tools and equipment to perform required duties and skills as defined above.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate vehicles (including but not limited to forklifts, golf carts, cars, trucks).
Physical Requirements
- Required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; occasionally required to sit, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear, smell.
- May frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Specific vision requirements: distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must possess normal to average corrective hearing.
- Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the primary job duties, including climbing and working at heights up to and in excess of 150 ft., crawling and working in confined spaces, and lifting up to 100 lbs.
- Must be able to work outdoors in extreme temperatures.
- Must possess the physical dexterity to operate hand tools and motor vehicles.
- Must possess strong safety sensitivity and ability to work with many different types of devices.
