Facilities Lead - Eataly Chicago

About the role

The Facilities Lead at Eataly is responsible for ensuring that all facilities are in proper working order during assigned shifts. This position requires a strong understanding of housekeeping and dishwashing procedures, as well as basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs hands-on facility repairs including basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work
• Safely operates power tools and hand tools (e.g., drills, saws, grinders, plumbing rodders/snakes)
• Troubleshoots and resolves minor equipment and machinery issues before escalating to a vendor
• Clears minor drain blockages using a plumbing rodder or similar tools
• Performs basic repairs on dish machines, shelving, doors, and fixtures
• Guarantees exceptionally clean and sanitary conditions in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Leads positive and informative pre-shift meetings
• Assists managers with training new team members on each station
• Provides a recap of the shift to the Facilities Manager and the Food Safety Manager
• Inspects each team member’s assigned station and provides feedback
• Fulfills other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Two or more years of facilities and housekeeping experience
• Basic computer skills
• Proficiency in Spanish language preferred

Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting

Pay

The hourly range for this role is USD $23-25
