Facilities Lead
About the role
The Facilities Lead is responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of the organization's buildings, equipment, vehicles, and grounds. This position performs routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities to ensure facilities and organizational vehicles operate efficiently and remain safe and reliable for staff, the people we serve, and all program participants.
Responsibilities
- Maintains the safety, cleanliness, functionality, and welcoming environment of The Salvation Army Harrisburg Capital City Region Corps buildings, grounds, and vehicles.
- Performs routine building maintenance, preventative maintenance, minor repairs, grounds care, vehicle monitoring and upkeep, and facility safety.
- Supports room setups for programs and events, assists with seasonal maintenance, and helps identify and address facility and security needs.
- Works closely with the Operations Manager to maintain the organization's buildings, grounds, and fleet while ensuring compliance with safety standards and supporting the daily operations and ministry of The Salvation Army.
- Supports and upholds The Salvation Army's mission and values of meeting human needs in the name of Jesus Christ without discrimination.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years work experience in related field
- Valid Driver’s License
- Good interpersonal relationship skills
- Team player
- Trustworthy and responsible
- Understands and supports The Salvation Army's mission
