Facilities Intern - Plumbing

Responsibilities

• Provide an intern with relevant field experiences in their chosen field of study.
• One or more mentors will be assigned to provide instruction, guidance, and performance assessment.
• Observe the functions and processes of the assigned work unit.
• Complete selected work assignments to reinforce learning, assess performance, and benefit the work unit.
• Complete all internship-related assignments and reports for both Mayo and the participating educational facility.
• Duration and timing of the internship will be arranged with the intern and the sponsoring educational facility.

Placement in our internship program does not provide financial assistance with relocation, housing, or transportation. Interns must pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program from an accredited college or university and actively registered for coursework in the current or academic term.
• Proof of enrollment in classes (e.g., enrollment verification, class schedule, or official documentation from the institution) is required and will be verified prior to the start date.
• Internship occurs after the student has taken most of the courses required by the degree program.
• Authorized to work in the United States without Mayo Clinic sponsorship now or in the future (e.g., U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees).

This position has a predetermined rate of $18.50 per hour.

Schedule

• Hours/Pay Period: 80
• Schedule Details: Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM.
• Internship Duration: Approximately August 2026 – August 2027.
• Weekend Schedule: No weekends.
