Facilities HVAC Specialist IV
About the role
Perform a wide variety of building and equipment maintenance work and supplementary work on HVAC systems, including air conditioners, air handler units, exhaust systems, chillers, boilers, humidifiers, air distribution systems, water treatment, air filters, building automation systems, steam systems, etc. This role may be 1st (7:00AM to 4:00PM), or 2nd shift (3:30PM to 12:30AM).
Responsibilities
- Maintain training and certification on clean room procedures, hazardous waste, confined space, fall protection, forklift, crane, aerial lifts, lockout/tagout, and others
- Operate company owned vehicles as required
- Maintain, repair, and install a variety of machines and equipment
- Prepare cost estimates
- Schedule and monitor subcontractors
- Provide basic construction management and project management of maintenance related jobs
- Review and process invoices
- Work independently with excellent problem-solving skills
- Maintain required documentation in accordance with company policies and government regulations
- Occasionally lift and carry 45 pounds or greater
- Track and report CFC/HCFC usage
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company
- Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment
- Perform other duties as necessary
Working conditions
Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor. This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent plus 3 years or more related experience. Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor's or Master's, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education
- Must have or obtain CFC Universal certification
- 24-hour, on-call availability on a week-at-a-time basis
- Must be willing and eligible for submission for a security clearance or access with Polygraph, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted, and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access
- Must possess and maintain a valid US driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record review (required for operating a company vehicle)
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $66,017 - $105,628. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
