About the role

The Facilities and eSports Assistant assists in the supervision of evening Covelle Hall student workers, and eSports Arena student workers, and/or performs these duties in their absence.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising evening Covelle Hall student workers.
• Assist in supervising eSports Arena student workers.
• Perform duties of student workers in their absence.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Proven history of ethical and professional behavior.
• Two years’ responsible health/wellness and/or gaming-related work experience.
• Knowledge of the realm of eSports, including knowledge on multiple platforms, eSports event functions, and gaming culture.
• Valid Oklahoma driver’s license required if using a personal or university vehicle.
• CPR preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.

• A positive “can-do” attitude along with a professional appearance and demeanor should be modeled at all times.
• Must be able to quickly grasp and apply training in learning new skills and methods.
• Must have strong computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheets, project management, electronic communications, Discord and other gaming platforms, and an understanding of web technologies.
• Proven organizational skills.
• Must be flexible, innovative and self-motivated.
• Strong written and oral communications skills required.
• Excellent listening, customer service and problem solving skills are essential, continually incorporating feedback, ideas and requests.

$10.71 - $11.36 hourly

Schedule

Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday 5:00pm-11:00pm (30 hours per week).
