Facilities & Equipment Manager - OC Operations

Main Job Responsibilities / Competencies

• Manage and oversee maintenance of facilities, equipment, security and EHS programs
• Ensure facilities & equipment are well-maintained and all facility & equipment maintenance is performed in accordance with procedures and schedules
• Lead facility space and layout planning
• Lead facility improvement projects and construction
• Plan and implement environmental health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state and federal OSHA rules and regulations
• Plan and implement programs to train STAAR personnel as well as contractors in worksite safety practices, fire prevention, and correct handling techniques for chemicals, toxins, equipment and other materials
• Develop, implement and maintain a hazardous materials communications program
• Develop and submit yearly operating budgets and manage spending within budget constraints
• Continually review cost reduction opportunities
• Interface with regulatory authorities relevant to areas of responsibility

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/experience
• Experience: 5 years’ experience in facilities management and/or manufacturing process support
• GMP/ISO quality system environment required
• Clean room construction and maintenance required
• Experience with security, environmental health and safety a plus
• Applied knowledge of lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma a plus

Pay

Pay range: $100K - $140K - Final compensation/salary will depend on experience.
