Facilities Engineering Support Unit Mgr

About the role

Direct and support subordinate professional engineering personnel in the performance of technical reviews, designs, cost estimates, operational support, project management, maintenance support and schedules associated with engineering programs and facilities projects. Location: On-site in Erwin, Tennessee.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and leadership to NFS Facilities Engineering Support staff.
• Drive continuous improvement, standardization, best practices, administrative organization, and professional development.
• Develop, implement, monitor, and ensure compliance with NFS Facilities and Engineering procedures and methodologies.
• Assist personnel in problem solving, communications, setting priorities, and conflict resolution.
• Work across the NFs staff to identify, develop, and implement actions to improve performance and reduce costs.
• Manage cost center budget and assist staff in aligning resources to effectively execute facility improvements.
• Execute other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Facilities Management Section Manager or Facilities Director.

Qualifications

• B.S. -- Engineering or Technical degree.
• Ten years' experience required.
• PMP or project management experience preferred.
• Experience in nuclear industry preferred.

Pay

The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US‑TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $115,000 and $180,000 per year. The base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
