Facilities Engineering & Infrastructure Lead
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate MEP contractors for infrastructure upgrades, retrofits, and facility improvements.
- Travel inside the US as needed by the project.
- Review drawings, scopes of work, and technical submittals to ensure alignment with operational standards.
- Monitor contractor performance, schedules, safety compliance, and quality of work.
- Conduct regular site walks to verify progress and installation quality.
- Manage punch lists and ensure proper closeout documentation (O&M manuals, as-builts, warranties).
- Coordinate facility-related projects including HVAC upgrades, electrical improvements, plumbing modifications, life safety improvements, and system expansions.
- Develop and track project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- Identify risks, escalate issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate outages and construction activities to minimize operational disruption.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
Facilities Support & Strategic Planning
- Act as the technical liaison between Facilities, Engineering, and Operations.
- Support long-term capital planning for infrastructure systems.
- Provide technical input for budgeting and forecasting.
- Evaluate system performance and recommend upgrades.
- Assist in emergency response and critical infrastructure troubleshooting as needed.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain project documentation, cost tracking, and status updates.
- Provide regular updates to Facilities leadership.
- Ensure accurate turnover documentation and system integration into facility maintenance programs.
Qualifications
- Experience in Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5–10+ years of experience in facilities engineering, MEP systems, construction coordination, or infrastructure delivery.
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
- Experience managing contractors and technical vendors.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong communication and coordination skills across multiple stakeholders.
