In this pivotal role, you will leverage your technical skills and design experience to troubleshoot and optimize facilities systems, specifically focusing on Unconventional (Uncon) design solutions.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria
• Able to implement capital budget for water infrastructure
• Pipeline hydraulic, pump design experience
• PSSR support through commissioning - Field time required
• Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in engineering design issues
• Proven ability to perform field visits for data collection and operational assessments
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with operations and construction teams
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Nice To Have Skills

• Previous experience working in Midland or Carlsbad, NM
• Water treatment/facilities experience a plus
• Knowledge of industry standards and safety protocols in oil and gas facilities
• Familiarity with project management tools and software
• Experience with design modifications and process optimization

Qualifications

Preferred Education And Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or Petroleum Engineering or related field

5+ years of experience in the oil & gas industry, with a focus on facilities or plant engineering

Other Requirements

• Willingness to travel to Carlsbad and surrounding areas approximately every two weeks for field work (minimum 2 days per visit)
• Valid driver’s license and personal transportation (or acceptability of provided allowances)
• Ability to commit to a 6-month initial contract with potential for extension
