Facilities Engineer, I
Responsibilities
- Manages projects and multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Contributes technical direction for complex projects and exhibits clear communication skills with all levels of employees.
- Recognized as knowledgeable in multiple areas of facility pharmaceutical engineering.
- Supports engineering facility projects including facility and utility expansion, compliance upgrades, cost reduction, contract manufacturing, process improvements, construction projects, etc.
- Provides technical support for design, modification, and troubleshooting pharmaceutical systems such as HVAC, Clean Steam, WFI, electrical.
- Contributes knowledge of regulatory requirements for the facility and processes to ensure compliance to local, state, federal, and international regulatory agencies.
- Manages capital and expense facility projects in compliance with the “Project Management Guidelines” system.
- Works effectively with various internal and external customers on a daily basis.
- Develops detailed specifications and RFQs for projects being pursued by the company.
- Uses systems of engineering documentation required by regulatory agencies and in compliance with generally accepted engineering guidelines, SOPs, or quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science; Chemical, Manufacturing, or similar engineering discipline required.
- Experience with AutoCAD, MS Project, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft PowerPoint preferred.
- Experience in Project Management/Project Engineering preferred.
- Experience with Pharmaceutical Facility/Systems preferred.

About the Role
This position provides pharmaceutical engineering knowledge primarily in the area of facility engineering. It involves managing projects and multi-disciplinary project teams, contributing technical direction for complex projects, and exhibiting clear communication skills with all levels of employees. The Facilities Engineer, I is recognized as knowledgeable in multiple areas of facility pharmaceutical engineering, including design, modification, and troubleshooting pharmaceutical systems such as HVAC, Clean Steam, WFI, electrical, and knowledge of pharmaceutical construction methods. They must work effectively with various internal and external customers on a daily basis, including departments such as Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Validation, Finance, and external interactions with officials from local, state, or federal regulatory agencies, A&E firms, construction firms, vendors, equipment manufacturers, etc. They are responsible for ensuring compliance to both short-term and long-term company objectives as defined by upper management. They develop detailed specifications and RFQs to be used by A&E firms, contractors or equipment manufacturers to accurately quote on projects being pursued by the company. They use systems of engineering documentation required by regulatory agencies and in compliance with generally accepted engineering guidelines, SOPs, or quality standards.
