Evaluate and comment on discipline engineering work

  • Evaluate and provide comments on discipline engineering work performed internally and by contractors/sub-contractors to ensure execution aligns with specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Facilitate effective engineering and design routines that support team goals, objectives, and procedures.

Ensure accurate and timely communication

  • Ensure accurate and timely communication across the team and with other functions regarding engineering activities, progress, and issues.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and comment on discipline engineering work performed internally and by contractors/sub-contractors for compliance with specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate execution of engineering and design routines aligned with team goals, objectives, and procedures.
  • Communicate engineering activities, progress, and issues accurately and timely to stakeholders and other functions.
  • Participate in area risk assessments, HAZOPs, hazard hunts, and critical operating parameter reviews.
  • Lead incident investigations, including downtime and process-safety-related events.
  • Support opportunity management by identifying opportunities and developing project scope of work.
  • Conduct risk assessments for new facility projects and existing facilities, and drive closure of mitigating action items.
  • Lead performance testing and plant-based trials.
  • Develop operating guidelines for facilities.
  • Coach and mentor junior and peer colleagues.
  • Deliver projects quickly while collaborating across multiple teams.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (no specific field required), or equivalent professional experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria.
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Fluent in English (read, write, speak) for technical and business communications.
  • PMP experience (preferred).

Williston, ND, or Houston, TX

Schedule

5/2, 3-4 days of travel per month if located in Houston

Pay

$105/hr (W2)
