About the role

The Facilities Engineer supports the environment required for the delivery of health care services. The building engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of the building systems by monitoring, operating and maintaining, building systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe patient care environment and work place.
  • Support a respectful, cooperative, and positive work environment.
  • Maintain and repair mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems, hospital equipment and appliances.

Requirements

  • Coursework/Training: Successfully completed a stationary engineer apprenticeship or equivalent training.
  • Experienced in operation and maintenance of fire alarm systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework/Training: Trained in use of computerized building controls system (DDC).
  • Or equivalent educ/experience.
  • 3 years Experience in central plant operations and maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Coursework/Training: Successfully completed a stationary engineer apprenticeship or equivalent training.
  • Experienced in operation and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
