Facilities Engineer
About the role
The Facilities Engineer supports the physical environment required for the delivery of health care services, and is responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of the facility by monitoring, operating, and maintaining building systems and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Supports the physical environment required for the delivery of health care services.
- Maintains building systems and equipment to ensure reliability and safety.
- Operates and maintains building systems and equipment.
- Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Develops and implements maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Monitors and troubleshoots building systems and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
- Assists in the development and implementation of energy conservation measures.
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure seamless operation of the facility.
Requirements
- Coursework/Training: Stationary engineer apprenticeship. Or Stationary engineer apprenticeship: Electrician apprenticeship and equivalent training or work experience.
- Upon hire: National Electrician Supervisor License - State County City Trade License Authority OrNational Electrician Journeyman License - State County City Trade License Authority OrNational Electrician Limited Maintenance License - State County City Trade License Authority OrNational Electrician Limited Building Maintenance License - State County City Trade License Authority
- Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role.
Qualifications
- 3 years Experience in central plant operations and maintenance.
- Experienced in operation and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
Skills
- Working knowledge of systems, processes, and procedures required to safely and effectively perform the duties of a stationary engineer and maintenance electrician.
- Continuous development of knowledge of new processes, equipment, and technologies used to carry out the work.

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
