Facilities Electrician
Responsible for
- Production of site utilities (gas, water, electricity)
- Ensuring facility compliance with local and government regulations
- Providing technical direction to facilities staff
- Coordinating contract services, inspections, and audits
- Managing multiple projects using project management skills
- Selecting and managing suppliers and contractors
- Maintaining and reporting project progress, quality, schedule, safety, security, productivity, and worksite appearance
- Ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Standards
- Managing and directing EHS functions
- Developing new programs to meet new/revised regulations
- Collaborating in site planning
- Reviewing and controlling risks in EHS programs
- Ensuring compliance with ISO 50001:2011 – Energy Management System Standards
- Designing, deploying, implementing, and supporting Celestica Energy Management
- Working with Celestica Energy staff to meet energy objectives
- Developing implementation schedules and ongoing support plans
- Supporting and leading the completion of the plan
Physical Demands
- Frequent exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.
- Extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.)
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
- Industrial hygiene, Environmental, Health and Safety programs and regulations including ISO 14001
- Industrial Engineering standards
- Structural and facilities engineering and manufacturing processes
- Evaluation, diagnosis, and troubleshooting problems
- IT platforms, database design, and programming languages
- UNIX, NT, database management system
- Materials evaluation, data gathering, and problem determination
- Project management skills and coordination
- Effective communication with various customers
Experience
- Three to six years of relevant experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
