Facilities - Custodian | Evening 7PM - 11PM l Pay Grade 3

About the role

The Part-Time Facilities Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for members, program participants, staff, and guests.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning all areas of the building within realm of responsibility.
• Cleaning cardio and weight equipment.
• Dusting and detail cleaning.
• Vacuuming carpeted areas.
• Toilet and shower scrubbing and sanitizing.
• Informing supervisor of cleaning supply inventory and supplies needed.
• Snow removal from sidewalks, entrances, emergency exits.
• Salting the sidewalks, entrances and parking lot handicap spots as needed.
• Landscaping help on all YMCA property.
• All other duties assigned.

Qualifications

• One to two years related experience preferred.
• Minimum age of 18 years old.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift minimum of 50 pounds and use various floor cleaning machines.
