Facilities Custodian

About the role

The Facilities Custodian maintains a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment at a child development center serving children aged 0-5 from migrant and seasonal farmworking families.

Responsibilities

• Ensures proper inspections, repairs, and maintenance in compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as Head Start Program Standards.
• Actively supervises children to ensure safety in indoor, outdoor, and transportation settings.
• Promotes health and safety regulations to foster an optimal learning environment.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Six months of custodial experience.
• Knowledge of maintenance, inventory, and purchasing.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
