Facilities Coordinator

About the role

Rocket Lab’s Facilities team is responsible for maintaining, operating, and improving facilities across our locations. The Facilities Coordinator supports the Facilities Manager and Facilities Maintenance Lead with deliverables for internal leadership, board of directors, and investors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation of our internal CMMS system – through Infor LN’s service module
• Data entry
• Aid with facilities maintenance coordination and administrative tasks related to janitorial, building/grounds, maintenance, repair, and update/upgrade activities
• Support administrative support for major facility renovations/construction projects
• Coordinate maintenance support to ensure optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment
• Aid in vendor and contractor coordination & scheduling
• Project management support involving mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management
• Aid in the development plans for facilities modifications and improvements with the focus on scope, schedule, and budget
• Ensure that project milestones are met and adhering to approved budgets
• Oversee ticketing system (JIRA) and set priorities for resolution
• Track and submit purchase orders; process credit card receipts and submit expense reports
• Support Facilities Manager with compiling documentation and data for internal reporting and leadership updates

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of facilities maintenance coordination experience in Aerospace, Automotive, Medical Device, or similar highly-regulated manufacturing environment - OR - High School Diploma and 6 years of experience
• Experience in ERP systems (SAP, Infor LN, Oracle)
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of facilities systems and improvement projects
• Experience with project management systems such as JIRA and CMMS software
• Occupational health & safety skills to include risk assessment, policy, training, project management, hazardous substances, and safety in manufacturing engineering
• Knowledge and practical experience in emergency management and / or occupational health and workplace hygiene
