Emerge is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a direct hire Facilities Construction and HVAC Engineer job in Dover, NJ our client, a leading manufacturer of quality products for a variety of industries. In this role, you will be responsible for the service, installation, and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment, as well as managing construction projects at the facility. You will provide technical support to manufacturing and maintenance teams while maintaining and upgrading the facility through general maintenance and new construction projects. You will also manage service contracts for heating, cooling, and other building requirements. This position offers a salary range of $90,000-$120,000 per year, excellent benefits starting day one including a 5% annual bonus, and relocation assistance may be available. Responsibilities for the Facilities Construction and HVAC Engineer job in Dover, New Jersey include: Developing and managing on-site construction, HVAC, and boiler/heating and cooling projectsOverseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual service contracts and records for dust collectors, cooling tower and boiler chemicals, and cooling tower maintenanceManaging quarterly maintenance of loading docks and overhead doorsOverseeing maintenance and inspections of HVAC systems, chillers, and boilersMaintaining fencing and gatesManaging capital expenditure projectsManaging spare parts inventory, purchase orders, invoices, and capital budgetsInvestigating and recommending equipment and facility improvementsRecommending preventative maintenance proceduresComplying with environmental, health, and safety regulations, wearing required personal protective equipment, and reporting incidents or concerns Qualifications Associate’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field with a bachelor's degree preferredCertification, degree, or equivalent training in heating and cooling systems5-7 years of experience in construction and heating/cooling operationsBasic knowledge of electrical control systems preferredKnowledge of mechanical drawings and computer-aided design (CAD) preferredStrong interpersonal and supervisory skillsThis position is subject to ITAR compliance: International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires U.S. person status; ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident ("Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
