About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for the service, installation, and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment, as well as managing construction projects at the facility. You will provide technical support to manufacturing and maintenance teams while maintaining and upgrading the facility through general maintenance and new construction projects. You will also manage service contracts for heating, cooling, and other building requirements.
Responsibilities
- Developing and managing on-site construction, HVAC, and boiler/heating and cooling projects
- Overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual service contracts and records for dust collectors, cooling tower and boiler chemicals, and cooling tower maintenance
- Managing quarterly maintenance of loading docks and overhead doors
- Overseeing maintenance and inspections of HVAC systems, chillers, and boilers
- Maintaining fencing and gates
- Managing capital expenditure projects
- Managing spare parts inventory, purchase orders, invoices, and capital budgets
- Investigating and recommending equipment and facility improvements
- Recommending preventative maintenance procedures
- Complying with environmental, health, and safety regulations, wearing required personal protective equipment, and reporting incidents or concerns
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field with a bachelor's degree preferred
- 5-7 years of experience in construction and heating/cooling operations
- This position is subject to ITAR compliance: International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires U.S. person status; ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident ("Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee, or Refugee
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire; visa sponsorship is not available for this position
- Certification, degree, or equivalent training in heating and cooling systems
- Basic knowledge of electrical control systems preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical drawings and computer-aided design (CAD) preferred
- Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills
Pay
This position offers a salary range of $90,000–$120,000 per year.
