Facilities Command Center Technician
About the role
You'll help maintain business continuity across Epic's global campuses by monitoring real-time alerts, managing access and security systems, and overseeing building operations from our Facilities Command Center. You'll identify and respond to issues using video feeds and system data, coordinating emergency responses when disruptions such as natural disasters or power outages occur. Working closely with internal teams and emergency services, you'll ensure a safe environment and help restore normal operations quickly and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Maintain business continuity by monitoring real-time alerts and managing access and security systems.
- Oversee building operations from the Facilities Command Center.
- Identify and respond to issues using video feeds and system data.
- Cook up to restaurant-quality meals at no cost.
- Earn a four-week sabbatical after five years.
- Participate in activities like kayaking in Patagonia, attending a Beyoncé concert in Ireland, building a library in Tanzania, and running a marathon in Antarctica.
Requirements
- Strong situational awareness and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, real-time environment.
- Experience or interest in security operations, emergency response, or a related high-volume field.
- Openness to 2nd and 3rd shift, as well as weekend days.
Qualifications
- Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
