Posting Details Position Information Job Description RHS Job Title Facilities Building Worker Job Description This posting is for University Apartments (University Village and 1855 Place) Pay Rate: $16.00 As a Facilities Building Worker, you will perform routine building maintenance including cleaning, event set-up, and repairs. You will also be responsible for activities like sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and emptying trash. In this role you will make sure the apartments at MSU are looking and functioning their best. Typical Duties May Include Washing walls and windows, emptying trash, changing compactor carts, and cleaning bathroom wallsClean upholstery and carpet, buff and scrub floors, and make minor repairsSet-up and tear-down furniture after eventsOccasionally operate heavy machinery Learning Outcomes/Transferable Skills You will learn “real world” work skills like time management, professional excellence, balancing of priorities, interpersonal communication, and working as a part of a diverse team.
