Facilities Associate (FS4)

Under the supervision of the Facilities & Operations Manager and Facilities and Operations Supervisor, the Facilities Associate uses established work procedures to perform all tasks related to the operation of Chaney Dining Center and the Retail Food operations as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform principal duties related to the operation of Chaney Dining Center and Retail Food operations.
• Handle lesser duties as assigned within the facilities and operations scope.
• Perform other duties as required; responsibilities may change with or without notice.
• Supervise student employees under the direction of the Facilities & Operations Supervisor.

Work Environment

• Work is regularly performed in an environment exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise.
• Use of floor cleaning and maintenance equipment, carts, flatbeds, and various hand and power tools.
• Occasional exposure to extreme outside weather conditions.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to talk and hear.
• Position is very active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day.
• Must frequently lift or move items over 50 pounds.

Schedule

• Full-time seasonal position (based on the academic year).
• Tuesday–Friday: 2:30 pm – 10:00 pm, Saturday: 12 noon – 10:00 pm.
