About the role
Vivalon is seeking a Facilities Assistant to support the janitorial needs of its San Rafael facilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning of all facilities
- Prepare for and assist with event set up and break down
- Conduct monthly maintenance activities as needed
- Monitor and clean restrooms, including emptying and replacing trash, washing and sanitizing receptacles
- Clean meeting rooms and other assigned areas as directed
- Operate wet/dry vacuums as necessary
- Report any health and safety hazards to the Facilities Supervisor
Requirements
- Experience or interest in facilities work is preferred
- Ability to perform custodial duties to a high standard
- Basic knowledge of janitorial supplies, equipment, and methods
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds (occasionally up to 75 pounds with assistance)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively
Compensation and Benefits
The starting salary range is $22-$24 per hour, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, paid time off, and holidays.
