Facilities and Project Engineer

Job Duties

• Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes, including the essential assembly methods and production equipment.
• Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment.
• Manages each assigned and approved project such that it is completed in a timely and efficient manner and on budget, while ensuring that all details have been completed.
• Designs, develops, tests or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
• Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency improvement.
• Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams.
• Maintains monitoring of the activities of all contract or staff employees completing project work to insure optimal performance while insuring all safety and engineering standards are adhered to.
• Manages maintenance, repairs, and replacement of plant utility systems such as: boilers, chillers, HVAC, air compressors, RO water systems, etc.

Education and Experience

• BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
• Five (5) years experience in engineering project management and facilities management (boiler, chillers, HVAC, air compressors, buildings, etc.)
• Experience working with contractors.

Pay

The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $101,000 to $112,500. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan.
