Facilities and Construction Supervisor

Arlington County’s Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is seeking an experienced and motivated Facilities and Construction Supervisor to lead the maintenance, repair, and construction of park infrastructure throughout Arlington's park system.

About the role

This position oversees daily facilities maintenance and construction operations, supporting the Division's network of parks, playgrounds, spraygrounds, athletic facilities, and other public amenities. The role serves as the Division's technical lead for park construction projects, partnering with planning, engineering, contractors, and operations staff to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise two (2) direct reports and provide leadership to skilled trades teams performing electrical, plumbing, masonry, carpentry, welding, fencing, lighting, small engine repair, and athletic court maintenance.
• Lead maintenance, repair, and construction of park infrastructure.
