Primary Responsibilities
- Facilities Engineering:
- Oversight of HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, and building interior repairs.
- Coordination with vendors for scheduled maintenance.
- Resolution of building system issues with colleagues and tenant customers.
- Handling after-hours emergencies as needed.
- Performing basic tasks such as hanging bulletin boards, changing bulbs, setting up office furniture, janitorial services, etc.
- Compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and directives.
- Inspection and oversight of work performed by service vendors and contractors.
- Routine inspection of building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, EMS system, and plumbing.
- Facility Administration:
- Maintenance of facility records and documentation.
- Log, prioritize, assign, and track service requests through completion.
- Scheduling preventive maintenance, inspections, and vendor site visits.
- Tracking facility expenditures against budget and assisting with annual facility budget planning.
- Maintenance of safety and compliance records and support for space planning, office moves, and furniture coordination.
- Logistics Specialist:
- End-to-end management of receiving, inspection, tagging, storage, and tracking of incoming equipment and materials.
- Coordination of domestic and military shipments, including packaging materials and preparing shipping documentation.
- Maintenance of accountability for U.S. Government property in compliance with FAR Part 45 and Clause 52.245-1.
- Conducting annual physical inventories, reconciling discrepancies, processing returns and carrier claims, and maintaining organized warehouse operations.
- Collaboration with contracts, finance, customers, and internal teams to resolve logistics issues.
- Supporting equipment receipt and distribution and providing logistics and property management assistance.
Required Background
- A minimum of 3+ years’ experience working with building operations, including a basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and local codes.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to frequently walk up and down stairs for inspections.
- Ability to detect emergency alarms auditory and/or visual.
- Ability to access hard-to-reach areas, including getting on hands and knees as needed for equipment inspections.
- Ability to safely climb ladders.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, squat, reach, and kneel on a daily basis.
- Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance.
- U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED.
Position Location
The position is located at our Chantilly, VA office.
Salary Range
The likely salary range for this position is $40 - $50 per hour. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
