Facilities Access Assistant

About the role

The Facilities Access Assistant provides facility information and safe access assistance to members of the community utilizing PNHS facilities. Duties include providing or assisting with escorting persons of limited mobility to requested destinations, wheelchair assistance, and walking escorts. Training in wheelchair use and lifting/moving assistance is provided. Submit written reports on incidents observed or reported for evaluation by Risk Management or the Department of Safety & Security.

Schedule

FTE 1.0, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, daytime hours.

Requirements

• Ability to interact and communicate verbally
• Able to withstand long periods of walking, standing, and pushing wheelchairs
• Able to withstand various types of weather conditions
