Responsibilities
As a Fabricator, you will meet daily objectives in production, quality, and timely shipment of customer orders. You will also be required to:
- Flexibility to move to work in other areas when required
- Select dies, tools, punches for proper thickness of material
- Form material according to drawings
- Perform preventative maintenance procedures
- Perform first piece and in progress inspection to ensure that work meets all requirements
- Monitor condition of equipment and tooling and inform supervisor when punches and dies need sharpening
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Communicate with company managers on a daily basis ensuring objectives have been achieved in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner
- Provide Excellent Customer Service!
Requirements
We are looking for someone who is able to read and interpret basic to moderately complex drawings, bills of material, and customize parts: stairs, railings, etc. You should have:
- 3-5 years Steel Fabrication and welding experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to safely and effectively operate fabrication machinery such as press brake, punch press, welder, plasma cutter and miter band saw
- Experience using small hand and power tools, micrometers
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors year-round
- Ability to manually lift up to 50lbs
