Fabricator - VFS

Responsibilities

• Operate rotary chop saw and band saw to cut pipe to specified lengths.
• Handle movement of pipe along the fabrication table and offload to carts or crates for staging in the loading area.
• Operate Victaulic or Pace Grooving machine to create grooved pipe ends.
• Operate threader to apply threads to pipe ends.
• Operate Mercury or Pace Make-on machine to attach fittings to pipe.
• Cut threaded rod to specified lengths using a band saw.
• Install hanger devices on threaded rod.
• Use a bench grinder to prepare threaded rod ends for hanger device application.
• Transport pipe carts to the loading area for shipment.
• Operate a pneumatic staple gun to secure cardboard boxes to pallets.
• Use a forklift to retrieve materials and move pipe as needed.
• Operate a pneumatic bander to prepare pipe bundles for shipment.
• Complete safety and operational training, demonstrating competence as defined by management.
• Use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the job function.
• Follow company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by fabrication leads, managers, or branch operations managers to meet company and customer needs.

Requirements

• Basic operating knowledge of all fabrication processes and industry standards.
