Fabricator Operator (Weekend Shift)

This Fabricator Operator Will Do

1. Perform fabrication tasks such as drilling, tapping, sanding, riveting, grinding, spot welding, shearing, applying powder paint, soldering, operating punch presses, iron workers, stabwelders, loading/unloading paintlines, and assisting in equipment upkeep/maintenance.
2. Assist higher-level operators in their work as directed.
3. Utilize manufacturing information, determine necessary parts/inventory, jigs/fixtures, and obtain materials from stock areas.
4. Provide assistance to higher-level sheet metal fabricators/operators in their duties.
5. Deliver material to/from workstations using material handling equipment, position work material on coil cradle/feeder.
6. Ensure correct parts and matching documentation reach the next process in a timely manner.
7. Complete necessary preparation work such as wiping, degreasing, deburring, or grinding of components.
8. Pick up and place scrap in appropriate containers.
9. Document and record-keep as required.
10. Operate spotwelders, punch presses, and other metal-fabrication equipment as directed.
11. Inspect parts periodically or as directed using manufacturing information such as drawings/blueprints, make necessary adjustments as required.
12. Keep accurate piece counts and other applicable records.
13. Apply powder paint and shear various types of material to proper size.
14. Inform Supervisor of any quality problems.
15. Perform necessary maintenance tasks such as dressing of welding electrodes, oiling/greasing, machine settings, changing of tooling, and minor adjustments.
16. Complete necessary maintenance check sheets and inform Supervisor and/or Maintenance personnel of any problems.

Qualifications Required (Basic)

• A high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Sufficient proficiency with precision-measuring equipment such as calipers, tape measures, and micrometers.
• Proficiency with drawings or blueprints.
• Proficiency in general operation and troubleshooting of the equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year manufacturing experience.

Pay & Benefits

The hourly rate for this position is $18.40 + 11.12% shift premium per hour. The weekend shift schedule offers a premium pay structure, providing 40 hours of pay for 36 hours worked.
