Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain drill presses, punch presses, saws, bending rolls, grinders, spot welders, and DNC equipment to shape and alter sheet metal according to specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints, rough sketches, and engineering drawings to ensure the accuracy of secondary part dimensions.
  • Assist other operators with tasks such as area housekeeping, maintenance work, and material staging.
  • Conduct operator-level maintenance when necessary.
  • Ensure production identification and traceability.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Works well individually or within a team.
  • Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Understands work orders, work instructions, and verbal instruction.
  • Understands quality requirements for multiple customers.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Uses handheld measuring tools to confirm product conformance.
  • Knows when to seek clarification on problems.
  • Experience with industry-standard fabrication equipment and related tooling is required (preferably 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment).
  • Must adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
