Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain drill presses, punch presses, saws, bending rolls, grinders, spot welders, and DNC equipment to shape and alter sheet metal according to specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, rough sketches, and engineering drawings to ensure the accuracy of secondary part dimensions.
- Assist other operators with tasks such as area housekeeping, maintenance work, and material staging.
- Conduct operator-level maintenance when necessary.
- Ensure production identification and traceability.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Works well individually or within a team.
- Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Understands work orders, work instructions, and verbal instruction.
- Understands quality requirements for multiple customers.
- Great attention to detail.
- Uses handheld measuring tools to confirm product conformance.
- Knows when to seek clarification on problems.
- Experience with industry-standard fabrication equipment and related tooling is required (preferably 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment).
- Must adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
