Job Summary
Perform fabrication processes that vary in complexity.
Required Responsibilities
- Follow all safety and PPE requirements per established company policies.
- Utilize and maintain established inventory systems, such as Kanban or Vendor Managed Inventory.
- Demonstrated understanding of all established Standard Operating Procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Operate basic hand and power tools.
- Clean and test finished weldments.
- Operate equipment that is part of the Fabrication department, including but not limited to tapping/pemming machines, deburring machines, saws, etc.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on associated equipment.
- Perform continuous quality checks.
- Communicate and coordinate part shortages with Supervisors.
Education Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Applicable technical training or experience is preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience Requirements
- Blueprint reading skills are preferred.
- Must possess the ability to apply basic math skills, specifically with fractions and decimals.
- Must possess strong mechanical aptitude.
Quality Responsibilities
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process and quality systems.
- Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system.
- Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to normal office conditions like telephone, personal computer, reports and files.
- The employee will also be exposed to normal conditions of a manufacturing facility.
- The employee will be regularly required to talk or hear.
- The employee will be required to stand for long periods of time.
- The employee will use his/her hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance and reach with hands and arms.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The employee will frequently lift, carry or otherwise move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 70 pounds.
- When working on machinery, employee will bend, stoop and crouch on a regular basis and constantly move about to coordinate work.
- The employee is required to regularly set up, adjust, assemble, control, test and operate machinery.
