Job Summary

Perform fabrication processes that vary in complexity.

Required Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety and PPE requirements per established company policies.
  • Utilize and maintain established inventory systems, such as Kanban or Vendor Managed Inventory.
  • Demonstrated understanding of all established Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools.
  • Clean and test finished weldments.
  • Operate equipment that is part of the Fabrication department, including but not limited to tapping/pemming machines, deburring machines, saws, etc.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance on associated equipment.
  • Perform continuous quality checks.
  • Communicate and coordinate part shortages with Supervisors.

Education Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Applicable technical training or experience is preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience Requirements

  • Blueprint reading skills are preferred.
  • Must possess the ability to apply basic math skills, specifically with fractions and decimals.
  • Must possess strong mechanical aptitude.

Quality Responsibilities

  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process and quality systems.
  • Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system.
  • Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to normal office conditions like telephone, personal computer, reports and files.
  • The employee will also be exposed to normal conditions of a manufacturing facility.
  • The employee will be regularly required to talk or hear.
  • The employee will be required to stand for long periods of time.
  • The employee will use his/her hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance and reach with hands and arms.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee will frequently lift, carry or otherwise move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 70 pounds.
  • When working on machinery, employee will bend, stoop and crouch on a regular basis and constantly move about to coordinate work.
  • The employee is required to regularly set up, adjust, assemble, control, test and operate machinery.

Pay Range
