About the Role
Join our manufacturing team as a Fabricator and help bring the highest quality aviation products and services to our customers. This role is an integral part of our manufacturing department, where you’ll hone your technical abilities through fabrication work under general supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic window and plastic fabrication under supervision
- Assist with 1st piece inspection and completion of work orders
- Identify and record parts and serial numbers for plastics and windows
- Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience related to job duties is preferred
- Familiarity with basic measuring devices
- Ability to use basic hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
- Ability to learn and apply Bell Drawings, Measurements, Sheet Metal (Rivets), Torque, Safety Wire, Cotter Pins, and Proseal application
Physical Requirements
- Ability to wear all required PPE specific to job duties (may include respiratory equipment)
- Ability to operate basic hand tools and departmental equipment safely and efficiently
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Capable of standing for extended periods during the entire duration of shift
- Ability to operate a computer, including keyboard, mouse, and job-related software
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools
- Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks
- Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues
- Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed
- Ability to work in an environment with exposure to various chemicals, dust, odors, and machine heat cycles
