Responsibilities
The Fabricator position will set up, operate, saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal or plastic material. The main responsibilities include:
- Controlling machines and processes using direct physical activity to operate machines or processes
- Handling and moving objects using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials
- Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of problems or defects
- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
- Lifting raw materials manually or using hoist
- Measuring and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills
- Ability to distinguish material types including Aluminum, Steel & Stainless Steel
- Using computers and computer systems to program and setup functions, enter data, or process information
- Reading blueprints
- Operating forklift
- Testing, measuring and adjusting machines when needed
- Providing a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
- Ability to multitask
- Keeping work area clean and organized
Requirements
The candidate must be reliable, able to use grinding tools, follow all safety rules and quality standards, and follow all company rules and policies.
Qualifications
Mandatory requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent education, technical training in reading Blueprints, and professional experience as an operator of a forklift.

Work Environment
Work in this position is both in an office and a factory floor environment, either locally or at a customer site. While performing the duties of this job in a factory setting, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud and PPE may be required.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must be able to lift items up to 50 pounds.

Pay
Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour. Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
