Fabricator

About the Role

Join Distribution International, an industry leader in energy-efficient insulation and building material products, recognized as a “Great Place to Work.” As a Fabricator, you will operate a band saw and other types of saws to custom fabricate fiberglass, mineral wool, perlite, and other specialized insulation materials. This is a safety-sensitive position in a fast-paced environment where teamwork, reliability, and a commitment to safety are essential.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate appropriate equipment, including band saws and other fabrication tools.
• Accurately measure materials to ensure efficiency and minimize waste.
• Maintain quality control and housekeeping standards.
• Meet daily production levels and comply with all safety requirements.
• Perform additional fabrication duties as assigned by your supervisor.
• Complete any other tasks, duties, or responsibilities as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license if operating a vehicle for company purposes.
• Experience and/or training in a manufacturing, fabrication, or warehouse environment (preferred).
• Able to be medically certified to wear a respirator, if required.
• Basic computer skills (preferred).
• Forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, including bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
• Good hand-eye coordination, hand dexterity, and physical strength.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, depending on specific job duties.

Travel Requirements: Local travel may be required, with less than 10% travel expected.

Pay

Compensation range: $13.00 - $30.00 per hour. Actual offers depend on factors such as location, experience, skills, and market data. This position may also include variable compensation.
