Fabricator - 1st Shift

Reports to: Fabrication Supervisor • Location: Prior Lake, MN • 1st Shift Monday - Friday 6:00AM - 2:30PM

About the role

The Fabricator will work with metal and composite materials to assist in building and assembling MIRATECH products based on technical drawings and specifications. Responsible for ensuring high-quality fabrication while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication techniques and methods such as shearing, rolling, sawing, plasma cutting, punching, and forming metals.
• Prepare sheet metal for welding per specifications.
• Meet and/or exceed standards for safety, productivity, housekeeping, and attendance.
• Interpret blueprints and written part requirements.
• Perform process inspection, certification, and documentation as needed.
• Read parts list and determine if all parts are present.
• Interpret measurements and verify specifications.
• Cut and shape metals to be prepped for welders.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• 1+ year(s) experience in a metal shop manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Proven decision-making and analytical skills.
• Proficient in the use of tools such as tape measure, calipers, forklifts, and cranes.
• Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to produce high-quality products in a timely manner.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with a team lift.
• Knowledge of safe workplace practices.

Pay

Starting pay begins at $21.00/hour, with potential for more depending on background and experience.
