About the role
The purpose of this position is to use various hand tools and machines to cut, fabricate, and assemble architectural aluminum products.
Responsibilities
- Operate all automatic & manual equipment for both processing lines
- Operate forklifts (straight and side loader)
- Operate workstation crane during tool & jig change over
- Process scrap to melting/casting, including completing a weight check and weight ticket application
- Perform line trouble reset
- Package parts
- Operate every production job in the department
Requirements
- High School diploma/GED (minimum)
- Ability to operate a computer system
- Ability to read drawings, micrometers, and calipers
- Forklift operator license required
- Basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Previous equipment operation (a plus)
- Welding experience (a plus)
- Vigilance about safety
- Quality-conscious, oriented to excellence

Less than 5%.

Work Environment
An individual may be required to wear appropriate safety protective equipment at the proper times and in the proper environments as outlined by safety program rules. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. There will be periods of exposure to high heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions and vibration.
Pay
The hourly pay range for this position ranges from $17.88–$21.35, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
