Fabrication Supervisor

Job Summary

Oversees the fabrication and quality control process, monitoring progress and ensuring deadlines are met.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, And Key Accountabilities

• Checks fabrication of all material.
• Makes sure shop performance, quality, errors and workmanship are monitored weekly and reported to the manager.
• Maintains a safe workplace in compliance with OSHA and Fire Codes.
• Ensures orders are processed completely and signs off on the quality of the product.
• Maintains inventory levels, oversees maintenance and performs repairs as needed.
• Trains other associates as lead or senior employees or trainers.
• Maintains a positive working environment.

Experience provides solutions. Ensures work is performed consistently with company policies and procedures. Leads a group or team of support, craft, or lower-level professional associates.

Education And Experience

• Typically requires a BS/BA in a related discipline.
• Generally 5+ years of experience in a related field.
• May require certification.
• An advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual (English and Creole).
• Work hours are 6 AM - 6 PM Monday - Saturday.

Work Environment

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
