Fabrication Shop Fitter/Welder

About the role

The Fabrication Shop Fitter/Welder is responsible for performing a variety of tasks in the fabrication shop including but not limited to cutting, welding, and assembling metal components.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision cutting of metal using plasma, oxy-fuel, and waterjet cutters.
• Operate various welding machines to join metal components together.
• Assemble metal components following blueprints and specifications.
• Inspect work for quality and make necessary adjustments.
• Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• At least 2 years of related experience in fabrication or welding.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading and metalworking techniques.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in the use of hand tools and power equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication skills to work effectively with team members.

Skills

• Welding certification (AWS D1.1).
• Experience with CNC machines.
• Knowledge of material handling and storage.

Pay

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.
