Fabrication Oper I - KKP
Functions and Responsibilities
- Ensure that compliance with company safety policies and regulations
- Set up and operate at least 1 of fabrication’s machines
- Complete Standard & International KB300/KB301 Cross-Training
- Check in-coming and out-going material for quality and quantity
- Monitor and verify that the quality and quantity of work performed meets Bobrick standards
- Maintain the production process in a capable and aligned state
- Maintain a healthy and safe environment by keeping the work area clean, materials positioned correctly and follow safe operating procedures
- Report any unsafe conditions/hazards to department supervisor immediately
- Participate and support projects, charter teams and events to meet the company stated goals and budget
- Conduct daily pre-start on equipment before the start of shift
- Report any problems in business or equipment to department lead person and/or supervisor
- Use all protecting devices with guards properly set and in good repair
- Aid lead person in training lower grade employees in set up, machine operation, and safe working procedures including personal safeguards
- Aid higher grade operators in Tandem operations
- Prepare detail parts transfer
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree; and 1 -2 years related experience and/or training in metal; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read precision measuring instruments and simple shop sketches
- Ability to use measuring equipment (caliper, micrometer, etc.)
- Good knowledge of shop and safety practices is essential
- Calculate and maximize number of parts from off cut selected
- Must have good communication skills both written and oral
- Must be able to work in a team environment

Pay
$20.00 - $21.00 per hour
