Fabrication Oper I - KKP

Functions and Responsibilities

• Ensure that compliance with company safety policies and regulations
• Set up and operate at least 1 of fabrication’s machines
• Complete Standard & International KB300/KB301 Cross-Training
• Check in-coming and out-going material for quality and quantity
• Monitor and verify that the quality and quantity of work performed meets Bobrick standards
• Maintain the production process in a capable and aligned state
• Maintain a healthy and safe environment by keeping the work area clean, materials positioned correctly and follow safe operating procedures
• Report any unsafe conditions/hazards to department supervisor immediately
• Participate and support projects, charter teams and events to meet the company stated goals and budget
• Conduct daily pre-start on equipment before the start of shift
• Report any problems in business or equipment to department lead person and/or supervisor
• Use all protecting devices with guards properly set and in good repair
• Aid lead person in training lower grade employees in set up, machine operation, and safe working procedures including personal safeguards
• Aid higher grade operators in Tandem operations
• Prepare detail parts transfer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree; and 1 -2 years related experience and/or training in metal; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read precision measuring instruments and simple shop sketches
• Ability to use measuring equipment (caliper, micrometer, etc.)
• Good knowledge of shop and safety practices is essential
• Calculate and maximize number of parts from off cut selected
• Must have good communication skills both written and oral
• Must be able to work in a team environment

Pay

$20.00 - $21.00 per hour
