Fabrication Assistant

Position Summary

To build on this team, we are searching for a Fabrication Assistant. This role will report to Fabrication and Machining team leads and work with other team members to perform saw operations and light assembly tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain sawcut machines and associated equipment (band saw, chop saw, abrasive saw, belt sanders, etc.)
• Sort, organize and stage sawcut materials for CNC operations
• Cut, kit, and or assemble aluminum extrusion assemblies to print
• Operate company transit van as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certification (Vocational education preferred)
• Valid driver’s license
• Demonstrated competency in operating sawcut and related machinery
• Able to keep steady pace while bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and climbing into and beneath machines
• Able to work as part of a team or independently with direction from FAB/CNC team leads
• Able to lift to 50 lbs. as required
• Able to obtain Hi-Lo and Aerial Platform and Overhead Crane License

• Toolbox
• Tape measure 25'
• Assorted hand tools (hex keys, wrenches, socket set, screw drivers, etc.)
• PPE (steel toe boots)
